Grant Application for Summer Camps

For summer camps or similar programs that are seeking funding from the Linden Foundation, please answer the following questions using a maximum of two pages.  This will be viewed as your application rather than requiring a complete proposal.  The Linden Foundation is expressly interested in providing summer camp opportunities for disadvantaged or Òat riskÓ youth, especially overnight camps away from urban settings, and in supporting campers coming from our geographic focus as described in our guidelines.  The Foundation makes grants up to $5,000 for summer camp programs.

1. Briefly describe the type and background of the camp.  Include location, size, geographic area the camp pulls from, age of campers, length of camp session and any other relevant information.

2. What is the focus of the camp, and what do you want campers to gain from the experience?  

3. How do parents/other family members participate in the camp experience and/or enrollment process?

4. What is the amount of the grant you are looking for?  What is the total operating budget for the camp?  How many campers and/or what other activities would the grant support?

5. If the funding is for a scholarship, where geographically would campers come from?

6. Are you a 501 (c)(3) or do you have a fiscal agent?  Please supply verification.
